OKAY, Insomnia is a TORTURESS MONSTER.
You lay there, for hoursss, and hours, and hours, with your mind just ALL over the place, okay. It can honestly just make your life a mess, 'cause you're thinking through every little, tiny, bit of your life. The pieces to your day, and every little bit of your ife. And somehow, you find yourself falling apart. It's terrible.
I have insomnia, and I can seriously say, it's probably one of the reasons I'm so depressed. :\
Well anyways, here are some tips to help you sleep better, and maybe fall asleep faster. (: ♥
O1. EiTHER COMPLETE SiLENCE OR A CERTAiN NOiSE;
Okay, so you need to know, do you sleep better in COMPLETE silence? Or with a repetative noise?
Noises that help people fall asleep can be like, a fan (the noise helps me!), music, rain or ocean sounds, etc.. ♥ Try and turn on a radio, or something :)
O2. TEMPERATURE;
This is REALLY important! It's harder to sleep if it's to hot or too cold! Make sure your room is a normal temperature, and have a somewhat thick, not too thick, not thin lol, blanket :)
O3. ONE PiLLOW;
It's easier to sleep when your neck isn't raised a lot lol. Try one pillow, and if that doesnt work, try 2. I found it a lot easier to sleep with one. :)
O4. HAiR UP OR DOWN?;
Do you sleep better with your hair up, or just down? I sleep a lot better with my hair up, it just bothers me when its down haha. So try it both ways!
**OH, And a tip for when you're trying this, don't tie your hair too tight! It'll just give you a head ache. Try a lose bun :)
O5. NO STRESS BEFORE;
Before you go to bed, try not to be stressed out! Get your homework done, take a nice bath, and put on some comfy pj's. (:
O6. COMFY &COZY;
Get in some comfy, soft pj's, put your hair up if you want it that way, throw on some fuzzy socks, get a nice, soft blanket, get to where you're comftable!
O7. NO CAFFiNE &BiG MEALS;
Try not to drink anything to sugary or anything like coffee atleast an hour before bed. Also, don't eat a huge meal before going to bed, it keep syou up. Maybe a little midnight snack, haha, but nothing to big! :)
O8. GET ON A SLEEP SCHEDULE;
Try to fall asleep and wake up the same time everyday. Don't sleep to long either. You should only be sleeping about 9-11 hours. :) This will help, get on a schedule! :)
O9. NO DiSTRACTiONS;
Turn off your phone, get rid of any light in the room, turn off the tvs, get everything else in the house quiet, etc.. Anything that wil distract you, get rid of it.
1O. STRETCH BEFORE;
Before you go to bed, it helps to stretch! Haha, sounds weird, but try it, it gets you more relaxed.
